# Naima > Naima is born for software: a silent software house of AI agents that turns > vibe coding into an exact science for the person who owns the project. Vibe > coding — asking an AI to build software and hoping it worked — leaves work > unverified, unrecorded, unrepeatable, uncoordinated and roleless; Naima > replaces each with its opposite. They say what they want; agents build it > with industry-grade practice (written > requirements, tests, metrics, reviews, gates) and formal methods (properties > of the design proven by tools), check it, prove it and document it, every > claim with its evidence, nothing done until shown to be; the person only > decides. It runs any other project too, with that work's own checks in place > of tests: a data analysis checked by reproducible runs, a paper checked by > reviews. The person needs no git, code or project management, only an AI > agent. Naima lives in a folder of the project and manages it with git, so > you never have to — naima-tracker/. The install procedure, for people and agents alike, is the repository's README, section "Install": https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vincenzoml/naima/main/README.md In short. If git is not installed, install it (macOS: `xcode-select --install`, or `brew install git` with Homebrew; Linux: the package manager, e.g. `sudo apt install git`; Windows: `winget install Git.Git`). Then, in the root of this repository (if it is not a git repository yet, create one at the root with `git init`): 1. Run the installer for this system: - macOS, Linux: `curl -fsSL https://vincenzoml.github.io/naima/install.sh | sh` - Windows (PowerShell): `irm https://vincenzoml.github.io/naima/install.ps1 | iex` 2. `deno run -A naima-tracker/naima/naima.ts check` must end with `all invariants hold`. 3. `git add naima-tracker && git commit -m "Track this project with Naima"`. 4. Read `naima-tracker/naima/skills/naima/SKILL.md` and work by it, and the project's rules, `naima rules --audience agents`; `naima` means `deno run -A naima-tracker/naima/naima.ts`. 5. Add this line, verbatim, to the repository's agent instruction file (AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, or the one your agent reads; if none, create AGENTS.md), and commit it: This repository tracks its work with Naima: at the start of every session read naima-tracker/naima/skills/naima/SKILL.md and `naima rules --audience agents`, and work by them. ## More - Source and README: https://github.com/vincenzoml/naima - The primer, every concept in the order a person meets it: https://github.com/vincenzoml/naima/blob/main/docs/guide/primer.md - The documentation: https://github.com/vincenzoml/naima/tree/main/docs - Code-quality metrics (complexity, duplication, coverage and more), per commit, in a native window: `naima ui`
